Aneni Privacy Policy

Aneni (the app for iPhone and Android, and Aneni on lehallel.com) is made by Lehallel. This policy says what Aneni keeps, why, who can see it and how to delete it. Aneni works with your LeHallel account, so LeHallel's privacy policy also applies to that account.
What we keep
- Your account: the email address or cell phone number you sign in with, and the name you give.
- Your Aneni profile: your Aneni number (or your own cell number, if you choose it), the name others see, whether you are a man or a woman (to keep men with men and women with women), and - only if you choose to be found - what you learn, your languages, when you are free and a few words about you.
- Calls: who started a call, who was asked, whether it was video or voice, when, and how long each person was in it. The call itself - the picture and the sound - is never recorded or kept.
- Chats and groups: the messages you write, the groups you are in and who invited you, the reactions you add and when you last read a chat (for the read ticks).
- Photos and voice messages you send: kept in private storage that only the members of that chat can open, each time through a link that works for one hour.
- Safety: the people you block and the reports you send.
- Notifications: if you allow them, a code from Apple or Google that lets us ring your phone for a call or a message.
- Basic technical records: like every website, our servers record visits (address, time, page) to keep the service running and safe.
- Visits to this website: aneni.app counts its visits with Google Analytics - which page was opened and how people found it. Never your chats, calls, photos or voice messages.
Photos are checked before they are sent
Before a photo reaches a chat, our own picture filter looks at it: in a men's chat, women in the picture are covered; in a women's chat, men are covered. A photo that cannot be checked is not sent. The filter runs on our own servers.
Camera and microphone
Aneni uses your camera and microphone only while you are in a call, record a voice message or take a photo - and only after you allow it. In a call, the picture and sound go to the people in your call through our own call server. Calls are never recorded.
Why we keep it
- To connect your calls and deliver your messages, photos and voice messages.
- To let the people you choose find you, and to keep men with men and women with women.
- To keep Aneni safe: to act on reports and stop abuse.
- To fix problems and keep the service running.
We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who can see it
- The people you call or chat with see your Aneni name and number, and what you send them.
- If you turn on "Let people find me", other members of your own gender see your listed profile.
- A small team at Lehallel can read reports and the records needed to handle them.
- Companies that run our servers, storage, database and message delivery for us (and Apple and Google, who deliver notifications) process it only to provide the service.
- We share information with authorities only when the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious harm.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is open. When you delete your account, your Aneni profile, number, call records, group memberships and messages are deleted, and the photos and voice messages you sent can no longer be opened by anyone. Records we must keep by law are kept only as long as the law asks.
Your choices
- Turn "Let people find me" on or off at any time.
- Turn notifications on or off in your phone's Settings.
- Delete your account inside the app (Settings - Delete my account) or as shown here.
- Ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it: [email protected].
Children
Aneni is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly keep information about children under 13; if we learn of it, we delete it.
Security
Everything travels encrypted between your phone and our servers, and calls are encrypted on the way. No system is perfect; tell us at once if you think something is wrong.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and important changes are shown in the app.
